Ram Shankar is executive vice president and chief financial officer for UMB Financial Corporation. He is responsible for corporate and regional finance, corporate treasury, regulatory reporting, strategic planning, and investor relations, as well as management and board reporting.

Ram joined UMB in 2016 and has 20 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to UMB, Ram was managing director of financial planning and analysis and investor relations at First Niagara Financial Group for five years. In that role, he handled corporate and balance sheet strategy, financial and business unit planning and reporting, investor communications and Dodd-Frank Act stress test forecasts. Prior to that, Ram was an equity research analyst covering multi-faceted financial services companies at FBR Capital Markets. He also worked at M&T Bank Corporation in corporate finance and financial planning and analysis functions.
