Mr. Graves previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Burns & McDonnell, a consulting engineering company headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, with offices and operations throughout the United States, until his retirement in December 2016. Prior to being named Chairman, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer from October 2003 until December 2008; from January 2003 through October 2003, he served as the President and Chief Operating Officer. He served as General Manager of that company’s Energy Division from November 1997 through June 2001 and as President of its Energy Group from July 2001 through December 2002.
Mr. Graves’s experience as chief executive officer of a large engineering company, with multiple offices and projects located throughout the United States and abroad, gives him leadership skills and growth management skills. He also has human-resources experience gained through his management of a large number of professionals and managers.
